On January 21st, at 3:55 a.m., the National Weather Service issued a rare winter flood warning for the Minnesota River at Granite Falls affecting Yellow Medicine, Renville, and Chippewa counties. An ice jam caused water to infiltrate the lowlands along the river. As of print time, the flood warning was no longer in effect. Photo by Jessica Stolen
